Patricia is a Direct Admission Ph.D student in Discourse Studies also working toward a certificate in women's studies. Her areas of academic interest and specialization are discourse analysis (Interactional Sociolinguistics), sociolinguistics, language and gender, and language and identity. Her secondary interests are rhetorical theory and composition.
Currently, Patricia is working with Elisa Everts as a graduate student instructor for Linguistics 209, Introduction to Linguistics.
