In the fall of 1998 at Texas A&M University, eight unsuspecting honors students embarked on an intellectual journey into the realm of postcolonial studies. Listed below are online resources that we found helpful in our research and a list of books that we read and discussed over the course of the semester. Our research papers, the culmination of the semester's academic endeavors, are available on this server; a link will be supplied on request by Professor Andreadis.. The Voice of the Shuttle is the most comprehensive set of postcolonial hotlinks on the web. If you can't find it here, head to the library. Emory's site also offers a good deal of information on postcolonial authors, theories, terms, and issues, while Brown's web site includes pages on all of the formally mentioned topics in addition to a host of other issues. The Voice of the Shuttle-- Postcolonial Page Online Journals Jouvert A postcolonial studies journal published by the College of Humanities and Sciences at North Carolina University. The Journal of Commonwealth and Postcolonial Studies comes from the Literature and Philosophy Department at the Georgia Southern University. The only drawback to Journal of Commonwealth and Postcolonial Studies is that the articles are not published online, and have to be paid for. Check your local libraries periodical section before ordering back issues. |
