How are Fellows faculty advisors supported and recognized?
The Honors Programs Office is committed to recognizing the tremendous work that faculty advisors undertake in order to make the Fellows program a success. The following are ways in which the Honors Program Office attempts to say “thanks” for faculty support and leadership with Fellows:
- Faculty Support and Recognition (certificate sent to department and presented at fall departmental meeting
- Faculty Advisor of the Year — Fellows (student nominates, Honors Program Advisor Committee selects, and award is presented at Honors recognition ceremony)
- Betty M. Unterberger Distinguished Honors Faculty Award (awarded every 3 to 4 years to an advisor for outstanding long-term service to Fellows)
- Teacher / Scholar Awards ($4,000, recognized at Convocation)
- Honors Curriculum Development Grants
