What are the goals of the of the Fellows program?
The goals of the program are as follows:
- To provide a select group of students with the opportunity to conduct independent research in their fields of interest.
- To provide these students with an opportunity to communicate their research findings to others.
To meet these goals and to receive Fellows distinction at graduation students must do the following:
- Complete a Senior Honors Thesis, a paper that could be published in a reputable scholarly journal in the student’s academic field.
- Present research findings to other Fellows and advisors in brief, but well- prepared presentations.
- Maintain 3.4 GPR through graduation (catalog 126 or below; 3.5 GPR, catalog 127 or above).
- Attend several meetings where Fellows will learn what is expected of them.
