Sally Robinson is Associate Professor of English and Associate Director of Graduate Studies. Her areas of interest include contemporary American fiction and popular culture, postmodernism, and gender studies.

Her latest book is Marked Men: White Masculinity in Crisis (Columbia UP, 2000), and she has published numerous essays in anthologies on gender and American culture, including "Pedogogy of the Opaque: Teaching Masculinity Studies" (Masculinity Studies and Feminist Theory: New Directions, Columbia UP, 2002) and "Men's Liberation, Men's Wounds: Emotion, Sexuality, and the Reconstruction of Masculinity in the 1970s" (Boys Do Cry: Men and Emotion in America, Columbia UP, 2002). She is currently working on a project on men and consumer culture, 1950 to the present.
