The Graduate Writing Project

This OWL has been designed for two purposes:
to assist graduate
students who need help in mastering basic elements in Standard English Usage.
to assist graduate
students in learning how to prepare documents needed in their professional
careers.
In addition to the OWL, the Graduate Writing Project will host workshops
that focus on writing. Notices hese workshop can be found on the Graduate Writing Project

Note: Exercises are based on instruction given in Rules for Writers, 5th
edition, by Diana Hacker, available at the TAMU bookstores.

To use the OWL, click on the topic you want to know more about. Study the
usage rules for that topic and the examples. Then, click on the Practice
link for each group of exercises. Each Practice link has suggested revisions
for the sentences that comprise each exercise.
